For the U3-U8 age group, the focus is primarily on fun, engagement, and developing a positive association with soccer and physical activity. Our goal for the U3-U8 age group is to foster a love for the game and physical activity in general.
Key Factors
1. Emphasize play-based learning rather than structured training.
2. Use games and activities that incorporate basic soccer skills, such as “Clean the Room” or “Freeze Tag” with a ball.
3. Keep activities short and varied to maintain interest and engagement.
4. Avoid fitness-specific training at this age; instead, focus on overall physical literacy through diverse activities.
5. Incorporate object manipulation skills to develop coordination.
6. Use simple, game-like drills that encourage decision-making and creativity.
7. Prioritize ball mastery and touch over athleticism or tactical understanding.
